OCEANFREIGHT OPERATIONS CLERK – FREIGHT FORWARDING
Recruiting for an experienced Oceanfreight Operator to join an established and busy freight forwarding company in East Midlands who is conversant in Import and/or Export operations.
The role will be to handle Ocean freight shipments for imports and/or exports from quotations through to delivery of freight to its final destination. The successful candidate will liaise with various overseas agents, raise and process all Export and Import documentation / shipping instructions, Customs Entries and Clearances. Liaising with 3rd party supplies to arrange delivery and collection of freight, trace and track freight and update the freight status with customers, answer and resolve any oceanfreight shipment queries or issues throughout the import/export process.
Previous experience of working in the freight forwarding industry and in an ocean freight operational role is required for this position. Knowledge of operational procedures for handling import/export Oceanfreight shipments, Customs Entries/Clearances and Shipping Documentation is essential and unfortunately candidates without the relevant skills will not be considered.
