Export LCL Gateway Planner
Responsible For: Plan the most cost effective and optimum routing on the international consol/movement to meet the agreed company standards
Job Purpose: To improve on departmental cost budget, with a primary focus on the most cost efficient planning & routing of international movements/consols, whilst achieving the required service level to internal and external customers, partners and CSUs.
Key Tasks & Responsibilities: Exceed department budget at gross profit level Planning of the international consol/movement to achieve the most cost effective result overall Register all export master jobs and communicate reference number to CSUs to attach component jobs Issuing of sailing schedules monthly and compliance with sailed as booked. When applicable advise overseas office by e-mail, edi or fax according to overseas agents' requirements. Identify areas where we can be more competitive or where cargo is needed and communicate to sales team Reserve accurately in system all costs for purchase invoices that will be allocated in the future Ensure all inter-groups are completed correctly as per the applicable standard internal cost tariff. Ensure correct documentation is received from the customer/CSU and pre-advised to carriers, as required. When applicable, allocate correct job/consol number on the invoice and pass on system Produce collection/delivery notes and appropriate carriage documentation according to mode of transport Produce export customs entries and arrange authenication at appropriate customs office. Book directly with approved shipping lines, co-loaders etc. according to company policy. Follow company quality policy in all areas, particular attention to ensure the ALL sub-contractors are approved
Specific Tasks & Responsibilities: Advise a competitive spot rate when outside of normal internal tariffs. Work closely with CSUs to ensure quality service and hence maximisation of freight through the gateway
