Our client is looking for a first jobber who is looking to build a career within the company.
The role will be 70% drivers mate and 30% warehouse work, the ideal candidate would have no problems working within both transport or warehouse areas with the view to cover the warehouse managers role when he is on holiday or sick.
After the initial training within the warehouse the candidate will then be working within our General transport department as a drivers mate and will be trained on all aspects of this roll as well.
The successful candidate must be well-driven with a will to listen and learn the ropes of all procedures. Your computer skills must be at a good level with use of most Microsoft packages and E-customs.
As previously stated your days will be split carrying out warehouse work such as stock control, sorting freight and general warehouse duties as well as going out on the road to complete collections and deliverys with another team member.
Your role will progress within the company You will take on more responsibility such as ensuring all warehouse duties are completed in full and ensuring that the paperwork has also been completed in the correct way.
You will also be working towards understanding all the elements of our General department and once we are confident that you understand the job role and all of the procedures we will be sending you out to complete certain collections and deliverys so a driving licence is essential and a Fork lift licence would be of an advantage but not essential.
Starting salary will be GBP16,600 - GBP18,000 depending on experience.
Shift: Monday to Friday 08:30 - 18:00
1 in every 7 weekends on call after your probation period all paid at time and half for Saturdays and double time on Sundays
