| Freight Forwarding & Logistics Offering a salary of circa £Negotiable, depending on experience, start date March 2012 First Choice are working with one of UK’s most successful leading multimodal forwarder and logistics organisations; An exciting opportunity to join well known established, successful Freight Forwarding organisation. We are seeking a candidate who has good knowledge and experience of handling Sea Freight Import & Export Operations, for their already established South Yorkshire Branch. The role of the SEA FREIGHT IMPORT & EXPORT OPERATOR will responsible for handling LCL AND FCL shipments from start to finish. Duties will include: • Taking customer enquiries • Quoting, following up to conclusion, • Arranging collections/deliveries • Applying tariffs • Negotiation with subcontractors, Obtaining best cost to maximise profit • Liaising with sister departments, oversees offices, subcontractors • Obtaining best cost to maximise profit, • Making bookings with Shipping Lines, hauliers etc • Entering data in as400 system • Raising Export Shipping Documentation, Letter of Credits etc • Raising and receiving Pre-Alerts, • Preparing Customs Entries & Clearances instructions • Invoicing Additional requirements include: • Excellent communication and Customer Service skills, • Attention to detail and; Commercial awareness • All candidates should be eligible to work in the EU Hours of work 0900-1730 (1 hour lunch) Benefits: Pension after 1 year, branch bonus after 2 full years service.
