Freight Forwarder based in Suffolk is looking for a European Import Manager to manage their expanding Western Market and Import Team.
Managing and running a team of 4 - 5 freight forwarders.
Developing and building relationships with new and current clients/sub contractors.
Sourcing new clients/sub contractors.
Increasing revenue and load volumes on the department.
Monthly target & KPI reviews with team and management
Making and taking job bookings
Arranging collections/deliveries with sub contractors
Providing quotations for new and existing clients
Day to day searching and finding jobs in addition to already daily jobs
Day to day searching and finding third party sub contractors in addition to the already daily sub contractors
Dealing and ensuring maximum profit is obtained by being able to source most competitive transport solution
Have experience working on either imports/exports or both arranging full loads (FTL) and part loads
Have experience between the UK and one, two or more of the above mentioned Countries
A second language would be an advantage i.e. German or French however not essential
Have at least 5 years experience working within the Western European road freight industry
Have experience working and obtaining third party sub contractors
Have experience working with existing clients and obtaining new clients
Have general knowledge of road freight equipment i.e. euro liners, taut liners, box trailers, Mega trailers, Road trains.
