Job Title: Control Group Agent (Nights)
Hours: 4 on 4 off NIGHTS (12 hour shifts)
Salary: Up to GBP30k P/A based on experience
New opportunity to join this time critical Freight Forwarding agent in the capacity of a control group agent. Please note this is a permanent nights role.
Purpose of the Role:
Handle and monitor all operational activities ensuring compliance with all agreed company policies.
Handle and monitor all live activities ensuring adherence to agreed rate structures and pricing policies.
To work collaboratively with customer service and sales to ensure maximum client satisfaction.
Work as part of the daily operations of the LHR team
Managing daily email volumes in the applicable inboxes.
Develop and implement customer focused operational policies and procedures
Assist with complex and escalated operational issues in accordance with the team leads/manager
Monitor accuracy of reporting and data base information
To on a daily basis ensure compliance to all agreed company policies, procedures and pricing structures.
Provide cover for general customer service processes & procedures when required
Specialist (time sensitive/temp controlled) courier operations experience (clerical/office based)
Customer services experience
Comprehensive understanding of courier/freight operations including Import/Export/Warehouse & Transport.
Excellent understanding of world geography.
Comprehensive understanding of the various temperature-controlled packaging solutions available on to forwarders.
Understanding of transit milestones (COB/POD etc)

Customer Service Clerk
Our client based in Colnbrook is currently recruiting for a Customer Service Clerk for their international courier company.
The ideal candidate will have experience working in customer service for an international logistics or Freight Forwarding company. The client would also consider someone with office based customer service experience, that isnt necessarily within the international logistics or Freight Forwarding industry.
Customer service is the first point of contact for customers and most suppliers. Therefore it is essential that the customer service assistant is able to work pro-actively and under pressure.
Essential Job Functions
Answering the telephone
Responding to emails
Taking customer bookings
Liaising with service providers
Handling customers queries and complaints
Updating AIMS with PODS and any handling reports
Non-essential Job Functions
Contacting customers for commercial invoices
Contacting customers or agents when there is a problem with the collection or delivery
Sending off hardcopy PODS to other offices
As the main point of contact, the role requires somebody who is confident on the phone and remains calm under pressure. The assistant must have a good basic knowledge of countries and be able to advise on areas such as transit times & collection time cut offs.
Good knowledge of Word and Excel software
French speaking would be beneficial
Excellent telephone manner
Ability to work under pressure
