This role is for a Hotel Bar/Restaurant Assistant in the Bracknell area near, Windsor & Maidenhead.
We are currently looking for a friendly, outgoing full time Bar/Restaurant person to work as part of our dynamic waiting team at a Country House Hotel.
Experience is preferred but not essential, as training will be provided.
Competitive Salary plus uniform, meals on shift and 30% Food and Beverage Discount in our Restaurant. Due to the location of the hotel there is limited public transport so the ideal candidate should be able to drive due to the start and finish times of the different shifts.
Hours of work
Rotas will be on a shift basis to include the following shifts;
- Early - 6.45am - 3.00pm
- Late - 3.00pm - Finish (11.00pm normally unless there is a function where
this could be as late as 1.30am)
- Split Shifts - Normally 10.30am - 2.30pm & 6.30pm - 11.00pm (these may
vary from time to time)
- The role does require you to be able to work weekends, bank holidays,
Christmas Day, Boxing Day, New Years Eve & New Years Day.
Job Description

As a Chef de Partie you will be part of a fresh food led kitchen environment achieving high standards of culinary expectation. This role provides an opportunity to create an exceptional dining experience within the busy and vibrant kitchens, using fresh and seasonal produce.
This role provides the opportunity of a fantastic work/life balance, with the benefit of no split shifts. This is a full-time, salaried position working 40 hours per week.

MAIN DUTIES:
Working as part of a team to prepare & deliver food in all kitchens and to develop your skills within the kitchen team by working around the kitchen in different sections.
Assist senior chefs with menu designs and food development.
Prepare all food items as directed in a clean, tidy and timely manner.
Follow recipes and presentation specifications.
Ability to operate all the kitchen equipment with the correct training in a safe and proper manner.
Maintain a clean working station whilst adhering to health & safety standards.
Assist with the cleaning and organisation of kitchen and equipment.
Restock items as needed throughout the shift.
Assist with safe storage of deliveries.
Actively participate and action the companys Food Safety management system (Food Alert). to maintain the high levels of hygiene and health and safety.
Ensure that all food is stored in the correct manner and that stock rotation is properly carried out.
Understand and control stock in your particular area of the business ensuring wastage is controlled.
Report all accidents to the Senior Chef on duty or the Duty Manager.
Attend staff meetings and training sessions as required.
