A leading road freight and logistics company with offices throughout the UK are looking for a European Road Freight Network Director within our existing company structure. As European Road Freight specialists, we operate a customs warehouse (ETSF) facility offering storage of up to 7000 pallets with picking and rework capabilities giving clients a complete logistics package. The company also operates their own fleet of domestic vehicles as well as members of a pallet system.
The key responsibilities include:-
Identify and build new European partnership network in strategic areas.
Development of existing and new Road Freight partnerships.
Sourcing sales leads using the companys in-house database or other sources of information.
Liaising with operations and sales department in order to develop new and existing Networks.
Visiting potential partners.
Preparation and presentation of company presentation to potential partners.
Ensuring that credit terms are managed in line with company standards.
Working within the company framework at all times to ensure development of Group/Core services.
Pro-actively dealing with partners and clients, with a mind to develop further business opportunities from within that account.
This role will suit a person with a confident personality with a proven track record who has built up a significant Road Freight network portfolio and wishes to take the next step forward to building a new department within an existing company structure. ETSF European Transport Operators x 2 - shifts temp to perm - Immediate starters
Converting Import EDIs (updating address, client data) into internal systems (FCL)
Transferring those details into Sequoia (customs system)
Arriving the Export collections into the DEP area via Sequoia (customs system)
Arriving and discharging the Inbound T-forms Sequoia (customs system)
Allocating the export consignments once loaded to a Master UCR
Creating the Export T-forms
Working closely with Imports, Warehouse, Linehaul (PU) and the Customs department
Overseeing the physical check of the ETSF bays in the warehouse
Running reports (via Sequoia) on the On Hold shipments in the warehouse ensuring the HOLD stickers are signed and visible

The role involves;
Arranging their international shipments, meeting customer service standards.Contributing to maintain good relationships with suppliers (Ocean carriers, trucking companies and others involved).Meeting compliance at all times to regulations internal and external in accordance with government regulations. Ensuring best practices to improve operational efficiency and productivity. Good use of Customs/Incoterms.Meeting customers standard operating procedures in place & KPI standards.Overseas communications, timely responses to emails and requests (internal and external)

As a Customs Clearance Coordinator you will play an important role in the Company ensuring our new customs clearance hub for import and export airfreight, as well as export trailers, runs smoothly and as efficiently as possible, seven days a week.

Ensure all customs clearance declarations are submitted in a timely and accurate manner.
