My client is a small freight forwarder who is looking to recruit an Air Export Clerk with ideally 6-12 months start to finish Export experience, however, would look at a Trainee who has enthusiasm, confident personality, and an interest to learn Exports within a small team.
Duties will include (but wont be limited to):
Communicating with client/agents for shipping details such as pickup times, shipping method, delivery date, and any special requirements. Scheduling shipment dates and times to meet customer needs.
Arranging and tracking Shipments.
Preparing and reviewing Shipping documents, including AWB, packing lists and commercial invoices.
Coordinating the transportation routes and methods.
Monitor shipment for compliance and regulations and international trade laws specifically in relations to pharmaceuticals.
Liaising with consular companies to arrange Export permits.
Ensuring compliance with HMRC export regulations, including obtaining necessary licenses and permits from UK Exporters.
Ensuring time critical and temperature-controlled cargo is stored at the correct temperature at both airline and within our own facility.
Working closely with overseas agents/offices
Completing export customs entries
Arranging collections and deliveries
Keeping up to date with changes in trade laws and regulations.
Resolving any issues that arise during the Export Process, such as customs delays or shipment errors.
trained up you will be given a phone & laptop (given after the first month or so depending on how they develop), which enables them to WFH to customs clear, monitor an important shipment some evenings/weekend this is paid 1.5 rate which also bumps up your income.
Training will be given in all areas.
Monday to Friday.
Experienced Export Clerk GBP26-GBP28K
Trainee GBP22K after probation will be reviewed.
5-year checkable work record and DBS will be required
