Our client is looking for an Assistant Restaurant Manager to join their team.

POSITION OVERVIEW
To assist the Restaurant Manager in the smooth running of all services following the company standards and procedures.
To act as a manager in the absence of the Restaurant Manager as required and ensure that all areas operate to the required standard on a daily basis.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS & PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
To be responsible for the welfare of the staff morale within the restaurant.
Work with the Restaurant Manager to manage and deliver an effective training and development system for all restaurant staffs to ensure that they meet their required standards and develop in their roles.
Offer a service through development and using an accurate database of regular guests needs and to ensure that this information is used effectively in order to meet their particular expectation.
Responsible for the overall cleanliness and organization of the restaurant and its Back Office eat all times through regular monitoring and training.
To provide assistance in conducting formal performance reviews with all staff to ascertain their performance, training needs and inspirations and to action those areas to retain and further develop these people.
To recognize and acknowledge regular guests, their needs/preferences and meet and exceed their expectations.

Health & Safety
· Comply with all statutory and company health and safety, fire, bomb and security regulations
· Ensure job required certificates are kept up to date
· Joint responsibility for ensuring the Health and Safety folder is kept up to date.

Flexibility
· Along with your main duties you may be asked to complete other tasks as and when necessary and reasonably required
· You may on occasions be required to adjust your hours of work to cover the hotel needs


QUAIFICATIONS & DESIRABLES
Previous experience in a similar environment
Five star hotel experience would be an advantage
Excellent English spoken and written
Wine knowledge
Business acumen
Operations driven
Problem resolution handling
Leadership skills
Excellent presentation standards
