We are working with a medium sized freight forwarder, who are looking to recruit a Business Development Representative.
We require a confident and passionate individual to take on the position of Business Development Representative, (BDR). The individual is responsible for driving new business by finding potential clients and building relationships with them. The individual must also thoroughly understand our costs to build and maintain a profitable sale. As the Business Development Representative, the individual must be highly organised, and detail orientated and will report directly to the General Manger.
Duties & Responsibilities: -
Qualify leads from marketing campaigns as sales opportunities.
Contact potential clients through cold calls, social media marketing and email.
Present our company to potential clients.
Identify client needs and suggest appropriate products/services.
Customise product solutions to increase customer satisfaction.
Building client relationships and identifying new business opportunities
Obtain and maintain a thorough understanding of the costing structure (cost of sales)
Have a good understanding of the budgeted sales revenue.
Support Sales department by communicating internally important feedback from customers.
Communicate effectively with customers on a daily basis when required.
An administrative or sales background
Must have strong experience with Microsoft Excel and Word
Well versed in IT skills for example Microsoft Office Suite and CRM systems
Strong verbal and written communication skills (especially with dealing with customers)
Must be detail oriented - Must have Strong and creative mindset, with drive for business growth.
Ability to multi-task, work under pressure and meet deadlines required.
