Our client is looking for a Customs Compliance Agent to work in their Customs Brokerage department

SUMMARY DESCRIPTION:
Ensure timely and accurate customs clearance of freight, delivery management and transfer of information, while providing exceptional customer service.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Customs Compliance Agent Job Specific Tasks and Duties

Operations :
Monitor compliance at all times to regulations. This includes internal policies and procedures such as Operational Process Standards (OPS) and external government regulations or customer policies/requirements.
Understand department process flow, constantly looking for areas of improved efficiency,
Ensure all customers standard operating procedures are maintained and followed.
Monitor undischarged Transit forms
Ensure all documentation present for archiving purposes

Customer:
Support the manager and or the sales department where needed:
Ensure all new business is transitioned correctly
Ensure Customer SOPs are created and updated for all new business
Report all calls - sales and retention activities in CRM

Finance:
Follow up the customs guarantee for various operations
Follow up refunds with customs authorities

Compliance:
Promote compliance in diligently following all company policies and regulations and in being the role model of integrity and pride for all employees.
Proactively communicate with the team to ensure continuous awareness and understanding of policies and regulations.
Maintain a positive relationship with the Trade Compliance Manager and support all compliance efforts and trainings.
Manage and monitor the following critical compliance reporting;
P9 Export reporting
ETSF bond reconciliation & bond compliance
Monthly Internal Assessments
Self-assessments
New hire audit programs
NCTS closure & compliance
CFSP monthly close off procedure
Post Entry management & analysis
Customer Specific monthly audits
Denied Party Screening
UCE Analysis

Product Agent Core Competencies:
Timely and Accurate Shipment Processing
Ensures smooth and timely freight process flow according to Company operational procedures. Follows customer's standard operating procedures and proactively notifies customers of any issues. Consistently meets KPI standards, as per company's procedures.
Timely and Accurate Data Entry
Ensures accurate and timely data entry into our operational systems according to Company operational procedures and customer requirements. Monitors exception reports for quick data integrity resolution.
Timely and Accurate Billing and Accounting
Invoices customers the expected charges timely and accurately and according to Company and customer requirements. Properly provisions service provider charges to avoid reserves. Follows proper credit approval processes in order to minimize risk and protect the
company.

Qualifications

Good Global logistics industry knowledge
Good computer skills (e.g., MS Excel, MS Word)

The hours are Monday to Friday 9am to 5.30pm
