We have an exciting oppotunity for a Operations Manager to join a Medium Freight Forwarder based near Heathrow.
This role is required to work together with the management team to manage the whole operation of the company.The ideal candidate should have solid experience in the logistics
industry.
Key Responsibilities:
- Managing daily Export/Import/Cross-trade freight forwarding operations including customs
formalities for modalities - Air, Sea & Road Freight.
- Managing & leading Import/Export team.
- Liaising with Warehouse team members, Handling agents, Transporters, Customs, Overseas
Offices/Agents, Shipping lines & Airlines.
- Solve & support operational problems pro-actively for all day-to-day jobs within the Operations
department.
- Managing invoicing procedures towards our customers.
- Seek work efficiency of Operations department.
Key Skills:
- Solid back ground experience in the freight forwarding industry.
- Leadership skills.
- Innovative, plan-ahead & team working attitude.
- Be able to demonstrate a good level of work efficiency and accuracy.
- Someone who enjoys working in a team and can cooperate well with other team members.
- Professional customer service skills.
- Commercial awareness, understanding of basic profit/loss.
