We are working with an established Courier organisation who are looking to recruit an Import Clerk and customs entries using CDS/ CNS Descartes and ASM.
Ideally 12months + Import experience and good Customs knowledge.
* Experience required in relations to Customs/Imports entries using
* Calling/emailing customers obtaining clearance instructions, submitting customs entries
and billing out VAT/Duty.
* Working with airlines closely for tracking and pre-alerting
* Liaising with UKBF/HMRC.
* Creating payment invoices for all HV items and obtaining payment before release.
* Daily logs and audit compliance on entries and payments.
* Good understanding of customs procedures.
* Good Excel Knowledge
* Some Lifting will be required and package handling.
* Good communication skills.
* Good Telephone manner required, team player.
* Strong IT skills.
Monday to Friday 9am-5.30pm with flexibility to work longer when necessary.
Salary depends on experience.
Must be able to gain 5 years reference and clear DBS.
