We are working with a Medium Forwarder who has an exciting opportunity available: they are seeking to expand their team by hiring an experienced Ocean Import Customer Service Executive

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Oversaw the import process for sea freight, ensuring efficient and timely delivery of international shipments.
· Monitored and ensured adherence to customs regulations, preparing, and submitting all necessary documentation to avoid delays and penalties.
· Liaised with vendors, shipping lines, and clients to streamline import activities and resolve any issues that arose during transit.
· Prepared and verified import documentation including bills of lading, commercial invoices, packing lists, and certificates of origin.
· Conducted analyses to identify cost-effective shipping routes and methods, improving delivery efficiency and reducing expenses.
· Inputted shipment details into the companys logistics system and compiled comprehensive reports for internal use.
· Actively addressed and resolved logistics-related issues such as shipment delays, customs hold, and documentation discrepancies.
· Maintained high levels of client satisfaction by providing regular updates on shipment status and promptly addressing inquiries and concerns.
· Keep up to date with changes in import regulations, ensuring the company remained compliant with all relevant laws.
· Worked closely with sales, warehouse, and finance teams to facilitate smooth import operations and support company objectives.

THE SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE:

· Proven experience in Ocean Import freight, ideally within a similar industry.
· Strong organisational and multitasking skills.
· Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
· Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
· Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and deadlines.
· Stable work history.

Benefits
· Salary depends on experience GBP32,000 to GBP40,000 per annum
· Immediate Start
· Monday to Friday - 9:00am to 5:30pm
· 23 days holidays excluding bank holidays
· Company Pension
