Our client a large Freight Forwarder are looking to add two European Roadfreight Import/Export Coordinators to join their busy team

We are seeking a detail oriented and experienced Road Freight Operations Specialist to join our logistics team. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of road freight transport, ensuring efficient, timely, and cost effective delivery of goods, This role is specific to a key account, so ensuring a strong relationship will be essential, inclusive of day to day planning.
Key Responsibilities:
· Operations:
o Plan, coordinate, and oversee the day-to-day operations of road freight transport.
o Coordinate deliveries with the relevant subcontractor to ensure timely delivery of goods.
o Monitor the status of freight to ensure on-time delivery and resolve any issues that arise during transit.
· Customer Service:
o Serve as the primary point of contact for clients regarding shipment status, concerns, and inquiries.
o Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction by providing accurate and timely information and resolving issues promptly.
o Maintain and update all KPIs specific to this client
o Liaise with our overseas office to communicate and plan truck arrivals and deliveries.
o Coordinating the shipments with our warehouse team to successfully offload the vehicle and load for deliveries.
o Invoicing the client and allocating costs received from the subcontractor
o Reporting any issues or damages to customer and our overseas office immediately
o Discharging T1 using the customs system ( training provided )
o Completing Customs Entries if and when required. ( training provided )
· Compliance and Safety:
o Ensure compliance with all transportation regulations, including safety, environmental, and traffic laws.
o Implement and monitor safety procedures and protocols to ensure the safety of drivers and cargo.
· Documentation and Reporting:
o Prepare and manage all necessary documentation for freight shipments and customs paperwork.
o Maintain accurate records of freight activities, costs, and performance metrics.
· Team Collaboration:
o Work closely with the logistics team, drivers, warehouse staff, and other departments to ensure smooth operations.
o Provide training and support to junior staff and new team members.
o Successfully handover operations to the mirroring shift.
o Escalate when issues arise internally to line manager first and then to all stakeholders for updates.
Skills Required:
· Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
· Proficiency in logistics software and Microsoft Office Suite including good Excel skills
· Analytical and problem-solving skills.
Preferred experience using ASM Sequioia.( but not essential )

Job Tasks and Responsibilities:
Your main responsibility would be to oversee the operations on a day to day, so shipments are customs cleared and delivered on time in full (OTIF). You will support with the day to day reporting and running of the key account.

The hours are either 7am to 3.30pm or 11.30am to 8pm Monday to Friday
Saturday 7am to 11am OT every other week
Sunday 10am to 12pm OT every other week

Salary up to GBP31K based on experience
