Senior Global Forwarding Clerk required to join this well-established agent.
Import Ocean and Air Operations - ideally around 2 years+ knowledge
We are seeking an experienced individual in the industry with knowledge of both Import Air and Ocean, though Ocean knowledge is preferred
· The role is start to finish excluding customs clearance however minimum knowledge of customs will be required as there is still an element of this within the role.
· The hours would be 09:00am to 17:30 Monday to Friday, no weekend hours required.
· After the probation period, remote working would be available which is 2 days at home, 3 days in the office.
· 22 days holiday excluding bank holidays per year
· Bonus yearly based on KPI performance/financials which is a percentage of the employees salary.
Maintain Operational Excellence:
· Understand the processes, documentation, and terminology involved in international shipping from time of purchase order issuance through the delivery of the cargo for Ocean & Air
· Understand and input applicable financial components of shipments to generate correct billing for customers.
· Apply industry knowledge and critical thinking to adapt processes/create solutions in response to challenges both internally and externally.
· Execute/Coordinate shipments and mentor others on how to meet all customer SOP requirements: booking approvals, processing pre-alerts, governmental filings, executing delivery, ensuring proper invoicing, etc.
· Create, maintain, and update shipments in Navisphere, ensuring accurate data
· Provide complex quotes based on needs of network
· Provides track and trace service to customers and generates shipment documents
· Ensure a high-level of data integrity within the shipments: acknowledgement of shipment details, INCOterms, routing, dates, documents, etc.
