Our client is looking for a Senior Import/Export Clerk experienced in Air & Sea
Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Import & Export Clerk to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in start to finish Imports & Exports, ensuring compliance with regulations and optimizing logistical processes. This role requires a strong understanding of import and export procedures, excellent organisational skills, and the ability to work within a team.
Duties:
Full Import & Export Air/Sea start to finish including CDS Customs
Road freight Import & Export Start to finish including CDS Customs
Communicating with customers and suppliers
Making bookings with hauliers, airlines and shipping lines
Completing shipping documents on Boxtop
Customs entries on ASM Sequoia
Liaising with airlines and overseas agents
Costing and Invoicing
Customer Queries
Quoting
Desired Qualifications and experience
Experience using Boxtop and Sequoia
Dangerous goods by air
Dangerous goods by sea
CO trained
Good understanding of the CDS customs system both for imports & exports.
Ability to work independently & within a team
Strong knowledge of international trade regulations, customs procedures, import & export start to finish procedures.
Eagerness to provide the highest levels of service possible
Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
Attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy in documentation
Pride taken in their work
A sense of urgency - tasks should be completed as they arise, with expediency
Excellent communicator
Good attention to detail
Ability to prioritise and meet tight deadlines
Excellent customer service
Previous Export or Import Air Freight experience minimum 5 years
Hours
09.00 - 17.30
*Out of hours monitoring of shipments is sometimes required as is occasional weekend work, overtime will be paid for weekend work *
Salary Guidelines
Negotiable depending on demonstrable experience, skills and knowledge
