Our client is looking for someone to join theirr team to take on the role of Transport Co-ordinator, their responsibilities and duties would include:
Responsibilities:
· Provide Quotations for Domestic and European Collections / Deliveries. Liaising with third party companies accordingly.
· Monitoring and tracking deliveries through to delivery, taking ownership of any queries that arise throughout.
· Route Planning and scheduling of vehicles - Liaising with drivers accordingly, ensuring jobs are collected/delivered on time.
· Vehicle Fleet Management, ensuring vehicles are serviced on time and maintained accordingly, any defects raised are investigated and rectified within reasonable timeframe.
· General Adhoc Office Duties
· Maintaining and building client relationships
· Proven ability in cost saving and rates negotiation.

· Excellent customer service skills, proactive and motivational
Planning and organisation - Able to adapt and make quick and decisive decisions within a busy operation.
Team player
the ability to multi-task
Good communication skills
be calm and collective under pressure
Strong computer literacy
Polite and courteous
Additional requirements for the role:
- National CPC holder would be an advantage but not essential
- HGV Class 2 license and Forklift licence would be an advantage but not essential
- Previous route-planning experience would be an advantage.
- Management of fuel cards and congestion charge account
- Strict adherence and compliance to all company health and safety policies.
- Scheduling all vehicle maintenance and servicing, ensuring all vehicles are compliant and off the road for minimal time.
- Actively seek improvement to the company operation, operating cost saving.
