Monday to Friday 9.00am -6.00pm
Currently recruiting for a TRANSPORT SUPERVISOR to join a Birmingham based Transport / Haulage organisation.
Offering a salary of £30,000 to £32,000 and the hours of work are Monday – Friday 09.00am – 18.00hrs
The role of Transport Supervisor will be working closely with the Depot Operations Manager and supervising a small team of Transport Planners and HGV Drivers. Working closely with national pallet hubs and pallet network providers.
Actively involved in day-to-day Transport operations, as well as assisting and supervising staff, driving change and continuously seeking new ways to improve Transport operational procedures:
Core competencies:
- Knowledge of pallet network operations
- Understanding of transport and health & safety legislation and compliance
- Confident using systems and basic understanding of software.
- Process driven – able to effect change to continuously seek marginal gains.
- Prior experience of effective management of small teams in a busy traffic environment.
- Degree of flexibility required to support with cover for absence.
We are seeking candidates with previous experience of working in Transport operations either at Supervisor level or looking to take the next step in their career.
