We are working with an established Niche Freight Forwarder who are looking to recruit a UK Gateway Manager.
You will be working with the Uk Gateway team, dealing with Air, Sea and Road movements the role involves completing all necessary documentation to facilitate movements in conjunction of maintaining a high level of service and adhering to HMRC compliance.
Role involves:
· Business development and Implementation.
· Manage Gateway members of staff, and Senior Customs service supervisor.
· Ensure all shipments by Air, Sea and Road are completed on time and intervene if any issues arise.
· Organise and oversee airport transport requests and assist as and when required.
· Arrange all out of hours work to be covered by Gateway staff members.
· Administrator for e-customs software.
· Liaising with Customs to ensure shipments are Customs cleared.
· Raising and discharging T1s.
· Approving supplier invoices.
· Implement and oversee Training.
· Overlap with the UK Customs Manager to maintain HMRC compliance for TA , Bond & AEO.
· HMRC point of contact.
· Assist with in house Training.
· Providing quotes to all Project Managers and Coordinators.
· Oversee ETSF 7 DEP facility.
· Improve workflows and drive efficiency.
Experience needed:
· Previous experience of Gateway management.
· Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
· Up to date customs and VAT knowledge and experience.
· IT Literate
· Ability to use own initiative.
· Good Team player
· Ability to work under pressure.
· Attention to detail and well organised.
· Art Industry knowledge advantage.
Hours Monday to Friday 8am-5pm
Salary depends on experience.
