New role at a well-established and respected Freight Forwarding company. This role is within a Key Accounts department, and will encompass the full range of Freight Forwarding operational tasks across all main modes of transport, both import and export.
Key Duties will include:
Coordinate Air, Road and Courier shipments to/from the UK and Cross Trade moments from start to finish
Support the Key Account Supervisor in fulfilling all customer requirements in respect of the position and in compliance with SOP & AEO Procedures.
Monitor and action the department emails throughout the day and proactively react to new and live requests as they happen.
Ensure good communication and working relationships are maintained with clients/overseas agents/suppliers.
Accurately complete job files & book jobs onto the internal system.
Maintain accurate, real-time updates on the company Track and Trace functions.
Accurately capture cost accruals and charge out shipments including the sending out of invoices and back up documentation to the relevant party.
Prepare and present quotations.
Accurate data entry into Excel & internal systems
Invoice checking & querying with suppliers & agents
Plan and organise own workload and work well independently and within a team
Be professional, self-motivated and conscientious with good initiative and good attention to detail
Have a strong desire to work hard and exceed customer expectations at all times
ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2 years Freight Forwarding operations experience, have a clean crb check and a full 5 year checkable history (with no gaps).
Monday to Friday 37.5hrs per week up to GBP30k based on experience
