£35,000 - £50,000 depending on experience

Based in Birmingham (B76)

AAT Full Member Qualified (level 4) or CIMA or equivalent

Previous Management Level experience required

Currently recruiting for a FINANCE MANGER to work alongside and report directly into the Managing Director of an Internal Freight & Logistics organisation.

We are seeking to recruit for a senior level position - FINANCE MANAGER and the duties will include:

  • Oversee & Manage finance department – Purchase, Sales & General Ledgers
  • Analysis of monthly Management accounts and being the first port of call on any issues that may arise
  • Statutory and Management reporting including management of P&L, Balance Sheet and cashflow
  • Cash management and payments in particular various currencies
  • Cash forecasting in particular currencies
  • Budgets, Forecasts and Management reporting, including Group consolidation and variance analysis.
  • Ad-hoc reporting work for use within the company
  • Production and submission of VAT returns
  • Support and provision of information for auditors
  • Maintain Fixed Asset Register
  • Ensuring compliance with regulatory submissions and legislation.
  • Carry out continuous reviews and improvements to systems / processes to improve efficiency and ensure accurate and meaningful reporting.
  • Assist budgeting and forecasting process, monitor and review performance, and set meaningful KPIs.

Skills Required (essential)

Previous experience of Management Accounts preparation, confident use of Excel, Word and Outlook as well as excellent communication skills and working within international trade and foreign currencies
