Job Description
Our client are looking for an Office Administrator to join their current operations team, to perform general office tasks to support the team. Normal working hours are 08:30-17:30 Monday to Friday, with a one hour break each day.
The role will involve, but not limited to, the following responsibilities:
Perform general office tasks, such as photocopying filing, data entry, invoicing etc.
Screen incoming calls and take detailed & accurate message as necessary.
Assist with responding to email correspondence as required.
Support with shipments as necessary (such as booking jobs, posting flights, co-ordinating transport etc).
Adhere to the company's security procedures at all times.
Support colleagues & management to ensure client needs are met.
Ensure any issues are reported to your manager.
Represent the company at all times by demonstrating high levels of customer service and a smart appearance.
Adhere to site security and health & safety regulations, reporting any breaches to the Manager or Directors.
Undertake additional duties, or assist other members of staff, as may be reasonably requested by the Manager or Directors.
The knowledge, skills and experience required are:
Essential
Have a good knowledge of the English language, both verbal and written.
Able to prioritise and organise own workload to tight deadlines.
Strong communication skills; the ability to communicate effectively at all levels, with clients and colleagues.
Be a team player in order to work well alongside all other members of staff.
Be of smart & professional appearance.
Desirable
Hold a full UK driving licence.
Have knowledge of transporting goods.
Due to the nature of the role, there are a number of compulsory checks that must be carried out:
A criminal record check - basic disclosure, carried out by the Disclosure & Barring Service.
A full 5 year reference history, with any gaps in employment scrutinised and accounted for.
