Fantastic medium sized forwarder is currently looking to recruit an Ocean Export Clerk to join their busy team

Mon-Fri role 0900-1730
Salary cGBP30k

The position would be a complete start to finish role, to include but not limited to:

Arranging FCL and LCL export shipments to worldwide destinations
Arranging collections with transport providers
liaising with clients and other branches, sales dept, hauliers etc.
Provide excellent customer service skills to export customers
Handling order traces, issuing bills of lading, invoices, sending pre-alerts to overseas offices
Knowledge of physical loading of containers would be beneficial
Good negotiating skills
An in-depth customs knowledge and the ability to complete customs entries via Sequoia
Experience with communicating with shipping lines, co loaders, and transport companies

Essentials:

Minimum 4 years experience in a similar function in the freight forwarding industry
Be a team player together with ability to work in on own initiative
Handle customer enquiries/have an excellent telephone manner
Stay calm and focussed under pressure
