Job Title: Freight Operations Executive - RoadFreight

Overview of Role:
Responsible for end to end control of all shipments coming into and out of Roadfreight depot in
Colnbrook. Highly focused, administrative role so attention to detail is essential.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Manifest daily trailers and send related pre-advice.
2. Update collection and delivery status in a timely manner.
3. Responsible for web bookings.
4. Monitor, chase and process all PODs ensuring timely updating of internal system.
5. Log and report outturn daily reports, cross referencing any discrepancies, completion of new
job references, delivery notes and amending of job details within a 2-hour window.
6. All related administrative activities in the road freight department.
7. Contact hauliers to provide quotations for special collections/deliveries.
8. Monitor and deal with transport queries by liaising with other depots.
9. Checking that collections are clear and populating the planning sheet.
10. Responsible for creation and issuing of run sheets detailing all collections and deliverys.
11. Working with Warehouse and Transport teams to ensure smooth and efficient movement of all
shipments.
12. Customer Service - dealing with queries from customers, subcontractors and drivers and assist
in their enquiries via phone and email, ensuring satisfactory and timely resolution.
13. Data entry with attention to detail.
14. Transport planning for same day collections.
15. Adding accruals.
16. Creating movements for subcontractors.
17. Trailer planning, booking, updating, and manifesting.
18. Entering & Updating consignments.
19. Domestic drivers De-briefing.
20. Afternoon Trunking out- turns.
21. Trailer log reporting.
22. Domestic transport planning.
23. Left in depot Reporting.
24. Completion of transport reports.
25. POD scanning and Indexing.

9. Fluent English, both written and spoken is essential

11. Knowledge of European groupage is advantageous

Additional Requirements:
1. In addition to the duties and responsibilities listed, the post holder may be required to perform
other duties assigned by the Company from time to time. Subject to adequate experience
and/or training.
2. To participate in the annual performance appraisal and objective setting scheme.
3. To work in accordance with all company policies including Health and Safety, Employment,
Staff, Quality and Environmental.
4. It is important that during the employment with the Company and any time thereafter, that any
information relating to the affairs of the Company is treated with the highest level of
confidentiality.
5. To have a detailed knowledge of and apply the Companys Business Plan in all aspects of
development.

Hours of Work: Monday - Friday, 9am - 5.30pm. 30 minute break (40 hour week) Additional hours may be required
to meet the demands of the business.

Salary up to GBP25K
