Shipping Administrator. Full time role. Immediate Start
A shipping administrative assistant required
This is an exciting opportunity for someone looking to expand their shipping and administration knowledge in a very busy office-based role. The role will initially be to support the shipping department a with a view to increased responsibility for the right candidate.
Core skills in Maths, English and IT are essential. Previous experience in a shipping administrative role is essential, along with knowledge of incoterms, shipping knowledge and associated documentation experience. Knowledge of Sage accounting software would also be advantageous, as would experience of Bistrack.
The successful candidate will be keen to learn, hardworking, well organised and have the ability to proactively manage their workload. First class communication skills are vital, as is excellent attention to detail.
Multitasking, accurate, good communicator, pro-active, good time management, methodical, good common sense, flexible, team player, keen to learn, ability to prioritise work load. IT confident. Shipping knowledge and experience required to include knowledge of incoterms.
IT (word, excel, outlook), Maths, English, Sage, Bistrack
· Inputting invoices onto Sage
· Logging and distributing shipping documentation.
· Processing bills of lading.
· Processing incoming invoices for freight and other associated costs.
· Post - to include producing mailing labels and sending out samples.
· Data input
· Stationary orders
· Booking DHL collections
· Logging insurance policies
· Updating vessel arrival info
· Filing and archiving
· Other ad hoc duties as they arise to support the business
· Answering telephone
