Ocean Export Customer Services

Purpose of the Job:

To expedite outbound and cross trade movements on behalf of our clients in their interests whilst delivering strategic objectives of the group.


Key Activities:


Planning and arrangement of international consignments according to client instructions and requirements
Issuing of shipping documentation
End to end monitoring of outbound and cross trade movements, ensuring all tracking data is entered our side and by our overseas offices
Opening of files and arranging shipments for predominately Sea and the occasional Road, Courier shipments.
Arranging customs clearance and ensuring 100% compliance with AEO and customs policy
Booking of FCL and LCL deliveries, inclusive of merchant haulages
Day to day invoicing and job costing
Follow up of purchase orders/shipments
Communication with overseas offices/partners
Arranging and heading up customer QBR where required

Skills:

Min 2 years deep sea export experience
Excellent ICT skills to include Microsoft packages
Dangerous goods by sea would be advantageous
Good telephone manner and customer service skills are essential
Attention to detail
Friendly, calm and professional manner
Ability to handle pressure and good time-management
Ability to adapt to change and work effectively as part
