Multi Modal - Operations Coordinator

Primary Function of Job Role
Daily activity is related to multi-modal activities between our suppliers and customers on a global basis. The position requires the employee to arrange quotations, place orders, manage collections and arrange imports and exports to supply worldwide locations with goods from our customers.

Main Responsibilities
· Manage and execute multi-modal freight services: majority air freight but also some sea and road
· Liaison at all levels with hauliers/carriers/service providers
· Liaison with clients vendors/warehouses/suppliers
· Liaison with clients distribution centres
· Ensure all freight operations are within contractual SLAs and KPI limits
· Liaison with clients dedicated Supply Chain Controllers/Managers and day-day staff
· Problem resolution for any ad-hoc issues
· Maximise revenue for the company
· Maintain internal service level
· Co-operate with other teams to ensure cost/revenue are processed accurately and on time
· Assist with KPI reporting and general team support (holiday/sickness coverage) as and when required
· Raising quotations, purchase orders and invoices in line with customer order requirements
· Confirm all purchase costs and sales prices are correct and in line with the relevant quotations
· Ensure goods are exported through customs using a reputable forwarding agent
· Ensure goods are delivered to the agreed point of delivery in line with customer requirements
· Dealing with customer and supplier queries effectively

Other responsibilities include but are not limited to:
· Develop, maintain and improve relationships with customers and suppliers
· Identify opportunities for continuous improvement to existing work processes
· Assist other members of the operation as and when requested
