The role will be working within a sales team of 4(including them) as well as bookings team of 4 who we work with on a daily basis.
The required candidate will need to have export LCL experience on deep sea, ideally working for a forwarder/NVOCC and would need a good knowledge of the LCL export market. Would suit a candidate, who is bored with Operations looking for the next move into sales, this would be an exciting new challenge. With the potential to earn commission.
They will be expected to quote clients on a spot rate basis for worldwide destinations, haggle on pricing, follow up rates within a 24 hour window and deal with our overseas offices.
In addition to the day to day quoting they would also need to assist clients with problems, vessel information, passing bookings details to the bookings teams, following up online quotations. They would also need to work from call lists, speaking with regular accounts to maintain relationships and grow new accounts.
