Job Title:

Airfreight Import Clerk


Working as part of a team handling day to day Air Import operations activities from start to finish, for a small-medium freight forwarding agent located neat Staines, Surrey.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

Processing Air Import shipments
Able to complete the full job start to finish
Primary contact for Air Imports, responding to enquiries, providing relevant service information.
Liasing with overseas partners regarding imports, processing pre-alerts for new inbound shipments.
Processing of import paperwork, ensuring all documentation is recieved and in good order.
Providing quotes/costing info
Completing Import customs entries (various types)
Arranging deliveries, keep customs informed on shipment status (track & trace)
Ad hoc import related admin duties (billing, filing etc)

Applicant Requirements:

Minimum of 2-3 years Air Import experience
Self-motivated, able to work using own initiative
Good team member
Stable work history

After completion of the initial introductory period this role will be on a shift of Mon-Fri 0800-1630 & 0900-1730

Salary is between GBP25,000 & GBP30,000 per annum based on experience.
