Our client a large Freight Forwarder are currently recruiting for the following
Job Purpose:
· Lead the Customs & Imports team allocating daily tasks to team members
· Support the Supervisor with the ongoing development of Customs & Imports department teams processes and operational procedures
· Ensure that all team members are trained to the required standard to enable them to fulfil their roles to an excellent level
· Be flexible and willing to support other operational and customer teams as required
· Fully support the customer services teams with an excellent standard of operational best practices
· Ensure that operational regulations are adhered to at all times and when required perform audits. This would include CAA , GDP and other operational regulations
Key Tasks and Responsibilities:
· Take financial responsibility for both costs and revenue
· Planning and arrangement of international Customs and Import consignments according to client instructions and requirements
· Completion of export customs entry to be under various CPCs
· End to end monitoring of Compliance and Process for Imports and Customs
· Communication with overseas offices/partners
· Ensure all enquiries or other communications are actioned promptly and efficiently
· Ensuring we meet company DATA Quality KPI with required tracking information
· Ensuring any PM queries are cleared within KPI timeframe
· Demonstrate flexibility and team skills within the department to ensure consistent and uninterrupted service to the client and their customers
· Administer the operating procedures as defined by the client
· Manage suppliers and the service they provide to us, directly and through the Product Manager
· Internal and External Customer service is paramount and relationship building is essential from day one
· Any other delegated tasks as deemed reasonable as assigned by the reporting superior
· Working with the Customs Bureas around the Country and Internationally to implement good working practises and Communication

Minimum Experience Requirements:
· Great organisational and time management skills
· Good leadership and proven record of taking responsibility for other team members, work allocation and training.
· Operational knowledge of Airfreight/Road freight- outbound
· Good knowledge of Customs processes and requirements
· Good ICT skills to include excellent knowledge of Excel
· Excellent communication skills both verbal & written
· Friendly, calm and professional manner
· Accustomed to working to fixed deadlines and under pressure
· Enthusiastic, flexible and self-motivated
· Well organized
· Ability to work closely with overseas network, commercial team and branches
· Flexible working hours may be required during busy periods

The hours are 9am to 5.30pm Monday to Friday

Salary GBP30,000 to GBP35,000
