An opportunity has become available for a Transport Operations Assistant, focused in temperature control work for urgent pharmaceutical logistics, to join our clients UK Transport team based at Heathrow.
The role involves supporting the department by keeping the warehouse clean and tidy and ensuring all packaging is cleaned and ready for re-use in compliance with the companys operating procedures.
What you'll be doing:
Ensure that there are sufficient ready to use temperature probes in stock and that they are in date
General office duties and answering department phone
Transport administration work and assisting driver controllers
Updating spreadsheets for stock levels
Working with and controlling the use of specialised packaging containing liquid nitrogen
Clean and prepare specialist packaging
Ensure the fridge and freezers have sufficient stock of refrigerants
Assisting operational drivers to load / unload vehicles and assisting drivers where needed
Ensuring warehouse and surrounding areas, including car park, are kept clean and tidy
Ensuring the premises are kept secure by keeping the shutters down and challenging anyone without a valid Company ID
What your background should look like
What you'll have:
Transport or logistics administration experience
Previous warehouse experience preferred
Experience working with secure cargo and associated certification and training would be highly advantageous
Previous experience working with time sensitive and temperature controlled shipments would be advantageous
Advanced IT skills
Ability to work as part of a team and independently
Excellent customer service and communication skills
High attention to detail
A flexible attitude to work
Previous experience with temperature control deliveries
The successful candidate will work Monday - Friday, 8 hours per day between 04:00 and 22:00 on a rotational basis, with weekend coverage required on a rotational basis (paid as overtime).
The basic salary is GBP23800 plus shift allowance of GBP1500
Annual bonus of 5%
