Job Description

Purpose of Job:
To manage and oversee the day to day running of the reception desk. To contact business clients in advance and liaise with them on any logistical details that they may have for their meeting.
To run the Front of House desk with a tight knit team, have good communication skills with the team, other departments and with clients. To maintain higher bedroom occupancy levels and increase the level of repeat business of B&Bs.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:
Run and supervise the front desk maintaining a standard and making sure the daily tasks are completed.
Contacting clients with CSAs to complete logistical details for corporate business
Maintaining good relationships and communication with clients, including meeting and greeting clients on arrival according to the process, and following on their requirements throughout their event.
Responsible for trying to maximise the selling of B&B bedrooms to achieve set monthly targets
Deal with overbooking policy and ensure team are following this policy at all times
Ensure all the team are fully trained and have the ability to handle telephone, email and face to face enquiries, quote relevant rates and negotiate terms on a daily basis
Ensure team members remain the main point of contact throughout the clients stay. Dealing with questions, complaints and enquiries to ensure the delivery of top class customer service.
Manage the online last minute booking websites for accommodation availability and rates, ensuring that correct availability and rates have been entered on minimum weekly basis.
Ensure rotas are in place across the team to guarantee that the operations of associated facilities are effectively covered and in line with the business needs and requirements, allowing for the provision of top class customer service while keeping a focus on minimising the overall cost
Maintain a positive and proactive attitude at all times

Perform other duties as assigned by management

Comply with the provisions of your contract and any of our Company Policies and set an example for more junior members of staff.
Seek to ensure at all times that all visitors or guests on our sites have the best experience possible.
Establish annual targets for individuals manage and monitor performance through meetings
Attend HODs meeting, to work with Heads of Departments to agree ways to continually refresh and improve the business.
Support he Operations Manager at the weekly operations meeting to inform all departments of the working week to follow
Carry out monthly Duty Management shifts along with all the responsibilities and actions required to complete this role in full and in line with the procedures and post
Manage the balance between customer satisfaction and effective business management, deal with last minute changes and solve problems as they arise in calm manner, while maintaining high attention to detail

The working week is any 5 days over 7.
The hours the reception desk needs to be covered is 07.00 - 22.00 and this is 7 days a week.

Salary is up to 21k
