Job Description

Shipping Clerk-Imports/Exports..Join a well-established organization with proven success in the import & export fashion world! From clothing, footwear and accessories and working with both well-known high street names and online retailers. Seeking to recruit the ideal candidate; an individual who can work in a fast-past environment, communicate across internal teams and pick up new skills quickly.

Roles and Responsibilities
Liaising with suppliers to arrange shipments
Liaising internally with our team to ensure shipments are approved and shipped out in a timely manner to meet customer schedule
Liaising with freight forwarders
Following the shipping process from Supplier to delivery point
Creating shipping documents for Export
Checking Import shipping documents received from Origin
Sending clearance instructions to freight forwarders
Monitor shipments from Supplier to destination, keeping our computer system up to date with accurate arrival times.

Keys Skills
Preferably 6-12 months experience in a shipping environment.
A good eye for detail and accuracy is essential
Excellent communication skills both in person and on email.
Good knowledge of Microsoft office, especially Excel.
Knowledge of Microsoft Navision would be helpful but not essential as training can be given
Excellent time management
Knowledge of HS codes/Commodity codes would be an advantage
