Now is the right time to join this Independent and long served organization; seeking an experienced and committed Sea Freight Operator to join their growing operations. Due to MANX branch expansion, our Client is welcoming an enthusiastic individual, who is conversant in Sea Freight Imports/Customs who is eager to become fully integrated in a professional and friendly team.
Key Tasks:
Completing on a daily basis import operations related tasks such as clearances, deliveries, updating internal systems and charging files out
Providing professional and proactive customer service at all times when liaising with clients, colleagues and overseas partners
Overseeing and assisting in the preparation of quotations for overseas offices and clients, logging these on the appropriate report and following up to secure shipments.
Ensuring correct customs and procedures are being used and followed.
Negotiation of rates and achieving best services for the Clientele.
Proactively seeking opportunities by developing existing customers, handover shipments and any other potential customers.
Ensuring all import files are charged out correctly, documents backed up and compliance with organizations standards/SLA
The candidate
Proven track record -SEA IMPORTS -Freight Forwarding
Strong operational Import Customs & documentation procedures
Customs Entries
Use of ASM Sequoia for entries
Use of Destin 8 & CNS for Sea Imports
Committed & able to demonstrate proactive communications and relationship building with all customers, suppliers, colleagues and overseas agents combined with an emphasis on proactively looking for opportunities of growth & development and applying efficiency to your role at all times.
