Supply Planner

Our Client is a fast growing commodity company, are looking to recruit.


Key Responsibilities
· Control of customer/stock replenishment order acceptance versus the forecast and agreed factory capacity for the plant in Kenya, taking into account both lead-times and available capacity - highlighting any prioritisation required. Ensure the requirements and promised delivery dates are agreed with all parties in the supply chain
· Receive purchase orders for Extracts from the UK and US sales offices, approve content and enter into the new ERP system for Saosa
· Work with the Saosa Factory (Kenya) production scheduler to ensure that the Saosa production schedule is optimised to meet service level commitments and efficient factory operation
· Work with the Damin, China production scheduler to ensure that their production schedule is optimised to meet service level commitments
· Provide internal customers with Availability to Promise information for Saosa and Damin, based on stock availability & current production lead times
· Review and issue the Order Fulfilment Schedule (OFS) to internal customers weekly, showing promised delivery dates and status of orders, so they can update external customers on delivery progress
· Day-to-day co-ordination of supply capability with other planners and prioritisation of orders where required with sales offices
· Support the maintenance of master data in the ERP system
· Using the S&OP cycle forecast updates from Demand Planners and Inventory Planners, generate, analyse and communicate the monthly S&OP ship forecasts for all Tea Extracts plant locations
· Work with the Saosa team to regularly update Strategic Supply Plans to ensure a strategy is in place for supply to meet forecast demand throughout the 18-month forecast time horizon, highlighting the need for plant outages and strategic inventory as required
· Manage, prepare for and develop into leading the monthly S&OP Supply Planning Meetings with Saosa and Damin
· Provide KPI information weekly/monthly
· Help drive the further development of process and systems capability to extend supply chain process capability and information across the business
· Embrace role development opportunities as identified during the companies Supply Chain project


Skills / Experience Required
· Graduate calibre
· Proven order scheduling & capacity planning experience
· A clear understanding of the underlying planning and forecasting processes and how these processes can be improved
· Highly experienced and proficient with operating both complex Excel spreadsheets and ERP systems
· Excellent planning and organisation skills, with strong attention to detail coupled with an ability to see the bigger picture
· Proactive approach to problem solving, with an ability to look ahead and plan for a variety of scenarios to manage uncertainty
· Open style - a good team player with the confidence and ability to integrate into an existing team, and a keen desire to learn and develop new skills
· Clear and concise communication skills, in both written and verbal English
· Proven ability to organise and drive change in working practices and processes
