Multimodal Freight Assistant is now wanted to join Independent Forwarder; this organization is ranked one of the largest in the UK and has grown from strength to strength.

What does this role entail;
Assisting the operations department Imports/Exports
Involved with European Road & Short Sea freight
Helping with bookings, forwarding processes and customs documentation for European movements
Involved from booking the collections, dealing with the customs declarations, through to delivery on European short sea and road movements.
Updating the in-house operational system accordingly
Communicating effectively with customers and suppliers in professional manner
Additional to the above, you will be supporting other members/departments to develop markets and increase potential business at every opportunity
We are looking for;
1-3 years experience in Freight Forwarding
Imports/Exports
Incoterms & commodity codes
Customs processes & documentation
You should have the capacity to effectively communicate in fast paced environment and be able to build good relationships (internal/external)
Team player and great overall interpersonal skills
IT Fully conversant
Keen to learn and wanting to progress in this challenging industry
Attention to detail, organized, focused and sharp!
In return;
Salary will depend on experience
The holiday entitlement is 22 days for new starters then increasing to 25
Plus 8 days statutory. With various increases up to a cap of 31 days
Pension available after 12 months service
Annual pay review
Training on in-house freight platform
