Job Description
JOB PURPOSE:
As Food and Beverage Manager your focus is to create positively memorable dining experiences for our guests. Through positive leadership of the F&B team, you will be responsible for delivering an efficient, effective, and profitable F&B service that meets revenue and cost targets.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:
General
· Overseeing the food and beverage department, ensuring a consistently Outstanding level of service is delivered to all guests and diners
· To promote a culture that anticipates customer needs wherever possible, and to react to these to enhance customer satisfaction
· Establish and achieve quality and guest satisfaction goals
· Keeping your knowledge up-to-date, enabling you to make recommendations to guests
· Familiarise yourself with the company policies and procedures plus employee handbook and lead by example.
· Have the desire and ability to improve your knowledge and abilities through on-going training and development
· Have a flexible approach to the hours you work.
Profit
Monitoring budgets and controlling expenses and labour costs
Be directly involved in developing and executing revenue strategies and sales initiatives - whilst continually developing your teams to do the same
Proactively engaging in marketing your hotels restaurant, both in house and externally
Drive promotions that deliver Outstanding dining experiences for guests.
Quality
Ensure all appropriate brand Standard Operating Procedures are adhered to
Ensuring the highest standards of personal presentation, hygiene and conduct in accordance with the hotel standards
Ensure COSHH and HACCAP guidelines are achieved and maintained. Check monitoring procedures daily.
Ensure all equipment is properly maintained and stored, with all breakages and breakdowns being properly reported and recorded.
People
Inspiring and leading your Food and Beverage team, inspiring passion and creativity and a care for the customer across your team.
Providing mentoring, coaching and regular feedback to drive continuous improvements to team member performance
Overseeing day-to-day staffing requirements, planning and assign work
Establishing performance and development goals for F&B team members.
Full accountability for team members within the F&B team in terms of recruitment, performance management, review
Liaise with central HR with any issues which may be classed as high risk
Act as a role model in terms of values, professional ethics and conduct
Communicate throughout team to ensure all members are aware of current developments within the company
Display a pro-active and leading role in terms of service, culture, development, team image, systems, procedures and skills development.

Project manage any key strategic priorities ensuring effective leadership of any working party; clear, concise and timely communication to all stakeholders; development and management of associated timelines; delivery of work streams in line with agreed deadlines

ESSENTIAL SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS:
Demonstrable success in a Food and Beverage supervisory/management position
Numerate, computer literate and able to manage resources within agreed budgets
A strong leader capable of motivating and influencing other to work to defined procedures and standards
Results focussed with an overwhelming desire to succeed
A passion for the Food and Beverage industry and keeping up-to-date with trends
Advanced IT skills including Excel, Word, PowerPoint.
