This is a great opportunity for an experienced IMPORT OCEAN & AIR FREIGHT OPERATOR to join a busy multimodal Freight Forwarding organisation based in the Derby (DE24).
We are seeking a candidate who has gained hands on experience handling IMPORT Seafreight and/or Airfreight operations for global freight shipments from start to finish, bookings, documentation, Customs Clearances, collections & deliveries, through to billing and all Freight administration and customer service.
The role will be:
Handling all communication and Customer Services, tracing & Tracking Ocean & Air Import Freight shipments keeping customers updated and advised of any delays, answering queries and enquiries via telephone and email, updating computerised systems with the freight status etc.
Handling Imports of all commodities, this role will be working within a busy Freight Forwarding IMPORT operations department and therefore it is essential all applicants have gained Seafreight Import and/or Airfreight Import operational experience, possess strong communication and customer service skills and the ability to multi task with a flexible approach to their work load.
EXPORT SHIPPING OPERATOR
Salary: £22,000 - £25,000
Based in Derby – DE21

Immediate opening for an EXPORT SHIPPING OPERATOR to work in International export operations, for a large global Aerospace & Defence organisation.
We are seeking an EXPORT SHIPPING OPERATOR who has been responsible for arranging the Export of International shipments, via Seafreight, Airfreight and European Roadfreight.
Working closely with carriers and Freight Forwarders to obtain rates and cost jobs, raise and produce export shipping documentation, arrange collections and deliveries and also have knowledge and experience of export customs procedures for entries and bonded warehouses. Complete all Export administration, liaising across internal departments and overseas offices to ensure the safe and prompt movement of freight.
The successful candidate will need to be a team player who has previously worked in Exports for a manufacturer or freight forwarder and has experience of handling Airfreight/Seafreight/Roadfreight shipments and have knowledge of export customs.
