Our client, a successful global freight forwarder based in Essex, is looking to recruit an Import Seafreight Operations Clerk to join their professional team.

Import and export booking with Agent and Shipping line

Investigating and planning the most appropriate route for a shipment, taking into account the perishable or hazardous nature of goods, cost, transit time and security

Obtaining, checking and preparing documentation to meet customs and insurance requirements,


Maintaining communication and control through all phases of the journey, including the production of management reports and statistical and unit-cost analysis

Maintaining current knowledge of relevant legislation, political situations and other factors that could affect the movement of freight


The ideal candidate will have 2 years+ of experience of Deepsea
freight Import Export on a start to finish basis, and experience dealing directly with customers.

Offering a salary of £24,000 - £28,000 – Depending on experience

 Previous experience in Freight Forwarding is essential

The role of OCEANFREIGHT IMPORT OPERATOR is working for one of the largest and most prestigious Freight Forwarding and Logistics organisations.

A fantastic opportunity for an experienced Freight Forwarding professional who has a good level of knowledge and experience of Oceanfreight Import operations.

The successful candidate will be joining an ever expanding, profitable, busy and efficient Oceanfreight Import department.

Responsibilities will be to handle Oceanfreight Import global FCL & LCL shipments from start to finish, with an emphasis on Customer Service.

Duties will include

  • Taking enquiries and making bookings,
  • Liaising with overseas offices and Shipping Lines,
  • Tracking shipments,
  • Processing Documentation
  • HMRC Customs Clearances
  • Billing out and invoicing files etc.

With an emphasis on Customer Service and attention to detail, this role requires a candidate who can communicate well across all levels with colleagues, customers and suppliers and is passionate about their working, always striving to offer the highest possible levels of service.

You will be responsible for making bookings with carriers, along with collections and deliveries. You will be processing shipping documentation and will ensure Customs procedures are adhered to. You will also input shipping information into various systems and create Excel reports. Providing excellent customers service, updating clients on the progress of their shipments is key to this role, so the successfully candidate must be able to build relationships. Experience of air & road freight would also be beneficial, although the role would primarily be handling sea freight shipments.

We are recruiting for a Housekeeper for a stunning hotel.

Hours are 10am - 2pm
You will be asked to clean around 3 rooms a day

7 days a week - but due to COVID it wont be 7 days at the moment until they pick up.
Housekeepers role and responsibility:
All rooms are double, with shower heads above a bath with glass screen.
Once guests has checked out, remove and replace all linen, towels and refreshments from the rooms
All dirty linen and towels to be counted and bagged up ready for a collection/delivery on a Wednesday Soaps, lotions and gels to be re-stocked as well as toilet paper.
Hoover, dust, clean and sanitize all areas as appropriate
general cleaning of hotel guest areas/corridors During Covid-19 we are not required to enter guests room until they checkout.so will not be required to remake for stay-overs.guests will obtain extra linen etc from reception as required.
Time allocated for each room is roughly 45 mins.(as all brick-a-brack has been removed, along with all throw pillows/cushions this shouldn't be a problem) All PPE, chemicals and equipment will be provided.
If hotel is low occupancy, a deep clean may be required in unused rooms. (Curtains, carpets etc higher level cleaning) Regular descale
