  • Input all booking data on to an in-house system and generate reports,
  • Trace and track freight keeping customers updated with its status,
  • Take all general freight enquiries.

Fantastic Freight Agent are looking to add a Logistics Specialist to work on a 9 month contract which possibly may lead to permanent fixture

M-F 9-5.30

Duties to include:

Logistics Specialist is the first point of contact with both internal and external customers for our bespoke pick and pack operations. They are responsible for the following key activities:

Customer Relations (internal & external)
Achieve personal and operational targets and report any problems that may affect performance.
Maintain and enter accurate data on all company systems.
Request materials and services needed to achieve targets.
Liaise with customers on a daily basis taking bookings via email and telephone & handling query resolution.
Build and maintain high levels of customer service to keep customers engaged to grow business relationships.
Work with other departments and external suppliers to deliver high quality customer service and manage customer expectations effectively.
Arrange haulage, courier, warehouse pick/pack, loading, and similar services as required.
Provide updates and proof of delivery to customers.
Basic shipment reporting as per customer and business needs.
Prepare/support for Shipment/Service invoicing. Administrative tasks as required.
Provide quotations for customer shipment requests from internal stakeholders and/or external suppliers.
Ensure all GDP transport and MHRA guidelines are followed in accordance with internal and external SOPs.
This role will be part of a multi-modal Life Science Logistics team so role may include processing shipments using other modes of transport (training available as needed).

Person Specification:

Must have at least 1+ year Logistics Operations / order processing or similar experience.
