Key duties and responsibilities:
Handle daily operations.

Dealing mainly with Ocean Imports FCL & LCL

New opportunity has become available for an Airfreight Import Clerk to join a well-established medium sized Freight Forwarder based in Colnbrook, Ideal candidate will have basic Import knowledge, training and support will be given in areas not familiar with like entries etc.

Duties will include but not limited to :

Liaising with customers via phone and email
Booking deliveries/collections
Updating and completing spreadsheets
Monitoring of multiple mailboxes (outlook)
Customs entries/clearances
Booking deliveries per customer specifications

Hours are Monday to Friday 09:00 till 17:30

Due to poor public transport serving this location; candidate must possess their own transport and full UK driving licence.

Customs Clearance Coordinator

you will work as part of a team and report to the Customs Manager.

You will be involved in calculating and processing duties and taxes to be paid and may be required to sign documents under a Power of Attorney on behalf of clients. You will also pay, or arrange for payment of taxes and duties.
Liaising with Customers.
You will be entering details onto specialised customs software including CHIEF, CNS, Destin8 and Data Freight.
Allocating the correct licence depending on type of goods being imported.
The Customs Clearance Clerk can be involved in attending meetings with Customs Officials in the application of duty refunds and tariff reclassification as appropriate.
This job also requires you to liaise with officials in various agencies to ensure goods are cleared through customs or quarantine. You will also arrange for transportation, warehousing or product distribution of imported goods.

Transport Planner Multi Drop Operation - Immediate Starter

Our client is looking for a candidate to join their growing team. Must be from A multi drop PALLET background.

Duties include planning collection and delivery schedules, liaising with operation team when organising own transport arrangements or using sub contractors ensuring effective and profit solution, ensuring legal processes are carried out correctly i.e. Digi-Card downloads, producing KPI reports, promoting safe and legal working across the whole business, supporting Shift manager efficiently to ensure smooth handover of team members with regards to shifts and also planning for peak and seasonal periods as well as other administration duties in day to day operations.
Must be able to control up to 22 vehicles. Transport Admin duties.

The right candidate should have a legal and technical knowledge of LGV operations, Health and Safety awareness, excellent customer services, multi tasked and work to tight deadlines and posses a good Geographical knowledge of the UK.
Must Have Freight Forwarding experience.
They operate 30 x 18T vehicles per day and this person would be responsible for the majority of around 22 vehicles
they operate in a very busy & manual system which requires good knowledge of the South east of the UK

Job Summary
As a Customs Clearance Supervisor you will play an important role in the Company ensuring our new customs clearance hub for import and export airfreight, as well as export trailers, runs smoothly and as efficiently as possible, seven days a week.
You will be expected to accurately manage your own workload of a large number of customs clearance entries, throughout each shift as well as supervise and manage the workload of your coordinators. The ability to process and clear a large number of consignments will be essential in this fast paced environment.
This is an exciting role within the Company and requires a candidate with competence in customs clearance as well as the ability to mentor and lead coordinators. The position reports to the Shift Manager.
The role will be 4 on / 4 off 8am to 8pm. Initial training will be 9am to 5.30pm Monday to Friday.
Due to the shift working patterns and site location, your own transport is recommended. Secure on-site parking will be available
Ensure all customs clearance declarations are submitted in a timely and accurate manner. Datafreight experience desirable.
Support the Warehouse staff and Shift Managers to ensure all consignments are customs cleared in a timely manner working within the prescribed Service Level Agreement with the Client.
Resolve any Customs issues and liaise with the Warehouse Teams / HMRC should inspections be required.
Ensure Customs Clearance Coordinators are trained and focused on delivering excellent customer service.
Good working knowledge of IT systems including MS Word, Excel and Customs Declaration software.
