- We are working with a medium sized Freight Forwarder close to Heathrow who are looking to recruit an Inbound Gateway Clerk.
The Role:
We are looking for someone to join our Import Gateway department as Inbound Gateway Clerk.
This varied role involves providing import and cross-trade quotations.
Review past quotations and/or shipments to maximise the opportunity to secure business.
Follow-up quotations not obtained and record feedback to assist future pricing decisions.
Liaise with overseas partners to obtain rates and monitor progress of live shipments.
Identify opportunities to consolidate shipments to maximise profit.
Reconcile overseas partner invoices and profit share received.
Identify opportunities to improve working practices.
You will build close working relationships with customers, overseas partners as well as internal teams so good communication skills are key in this role. Continuous support and training will be given as we aim to help you develop your skills and knowledge to allow you to grow your career.
Inbound Gateway - experience required.
For this Inbound Gateway opportunity, we are looking for someone with the following skills and experience:
- Previous experience in an airfreight environment, ideally Imports but will consider Exports as well
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to adapt and problem solve with an optimistic outlook
- Excellent attention to detail
- Strong work ethic and desire to continually learn and improve
- Positive and helpful attitude
The hours are Monday to Friday 9am to 5.30pm
