- Import Air co-ordinator required to join this leading agent locally based nr LHR this role will also require you to work occasionally with Roadfreight
Previous Import Air experience is essential
Start to finish operator
Proficient with customs procedures
Ideally looking for an experienced candidate who would be happy with the possibility of progressing to Supervisory level down the line
Responsibilities
Coordinatingandprocess for aircourier shipments, ensuring allhandled efficiently and effectively.
Maintain clear communication with customersstatus of their shipments. Engagement of carriers, overseascustoms officials through each shipment process to ensure they meet delivery schedule
Communicating with internal departments to provide updates on import activities and resolve any discrepancies.
Prepare and process all necessary import documentation ensuringwith international trade regulations and customs requirements. Ensureclassification and valuation of imported goods for customs clearance
Utilisation of own transport fleet and utilisation of 3rdhauliers where
Preparing and supplying quotes to clients and overseas agentsa timely manneraawareness of margins.

Experience
Start-to-finish Import experienceof import documentation and procedures
Excellent Communication and customer service skills - you willrequiredcommunicate with clients and suppliers over email and telephone
Attention to detail and strong organizational skills
Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
Strong problem-solving skills
Capability to work independently and as part of a team
Basic math skills for handling invoices and financial documentation
