- Our Client is looking for a Dangerous Goods Packer to join their expanding team
You will be joining a very close knit team where everyone works together to make sure all work is completed in all departments
Monday to Friday 07.00 - 16.30, overtime available and some weekend work available
Salary range GBP30,000 - GBP34,000 D.O.E
Driving Licence required for this role
Job Summary
The Dangerous Goods Packer is responsible for safely preparing, packing, labeling, and documenting hazardous materials for storage and transportation in compliance with applicable regulations and company procedures. The role ensures all dangerous goods shipments meet regulatory requirements while maintaining high standards of safety, quality, and operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
·Pack dangerous goods in accordance with applicable regulations
·Select appropriate UN-approved packaging based on the classification of dangerous goods.
·Verify product classification, packing instructions, and compatibility before packing.
·Apply correct hazard labels, handling labels, and shipping marks.
·Prepare and verify shipping documentation, including dangerous goods declarations where required.
·Inspect packaging materials for damage or defects before use.
·Ensure all shipments comply with customer, carrier, and regulatory requirements.
·Conduct final quality checks before dispatch.
·Maintain accurate packing and shipment records.
·Report damaged goods, spills, incidents, or non-conformances immediately.
·Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
·Follow company health, safety, environmental, and security procedures.
·Participate in inventory counts and warehouse operations as required.
·Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance safety and efficiency.
Qualifications
·Dangerous Goods certification (IATA, IMDG, ADR, or equivalent), or ability to obtain certification.
·Previous warehouse, logistics, or packing experience preferred.
·Forklift license (desirable, if applicable).
·Basic computer skills for inventory and shipping systems.
Knowledge
·Dangerous goods classification and handling requirements.

·Shipping documentation requirements.
·Warehouse safety procedures.
·Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) requirements.
·Manual handling techniques.

Experience
