Hours: 37.5 hours per week over five days ( 08:30am - 16:30pm or 10:00am - 18:30pm )
Reports to: Head of Courier / Express Manager
Salary: Negotiable, depending on experience
Role Overview
We are seeking an organised and customer-focused Courier Coordinator to manage domestic and international courier shipments.
The successful candidate will coordinate collections and deliveries, prepare shipping documentation, monitor shipments and ensure all orders are dispatched accurately and within agreed service levels.
You will work closely with customers, courier providers, the operations team and warehouse staff to provide an efficient and reliable service.
Key Responsibilities
Arrange daily collections and deliveries with approved courier providers.
Book domestic and international shipments through courier booking portals.
Produce shipping labels, customs documentation and delivery paperwork.
Monitor shipments from collection through to final delivery.
Proactively investigate and resolve delays, delivery failures and other shipment issues.
Provide customers and internal departments with regular delivery updates.
Liaise with warehouse staff to prioritise urgent and time-sensitive shipments.
Ensure orders are packed and dispatched within agreed service levels.
Assist with stock movements and general warehouse administration when required.
Maintain accurate shipment records and update internal systems.
Respond to customer enquiries promptly and professionally.
Follow company procedures and relevant courier and customs requirements.
Undertake lifting duties in accordance with manual-handling guidelines.
Candidate Requirements
Previous courier, express, transport or logistics experience would be advantageous.
Excellent communication and organisational skills.
A mature, professional and customer-focused approach.
Good computer literacy and confidence using online booking portals.
Strong attention to detail when preparing labels and shipping documentation.
Able to prioritise workloads and manage time-sensitive shipments.
Comfortable working within a busy, target-driven environment.
Able to work effectively independently and as part of a team.
Willing and able to assist with appropriate lifting and warehouse duties when required.
