Hours: MondayFriday, 9:00am6:00pm
Were currently recruiting for an experienced Air Freight Warehouse Manager to join a busy operation based in the Heathrow area.
This is a hands-on management position, responsible for overseeing the day-to-day warehouse operation and leading a team of 610 staff. The successful candidate will have a strong background within air freight warehousing, with previous cargo screening experience being essential.
Key Responsibilities
Manage the day-to-day running of the air freight warehouse.
Lead, motivate and manage a team of 610 warehouse operatives.
Oversee the receipt, handling, build and dispatch of air freight shipments.
Ensure all cargo is handled, stored and prepared in line with operational and security requirements.
Manage and oversee cargo screening processes.
Ensure compliance with aviation security, health & safety and company procedures.
Monitor warehouse performance, productivity and service levels.
Coordinate closely with Air Freight Operations and other internal teams.
Allocate workloads and ensure sufficient staffing across the warehouse.
Investigate and resolve operational issues quickly and effectively.
Maintain accurate warehouse records and documentation.
Support training, development and performance management of the warehouse team.
Requirements
Previous management/supervisory experience within an air freight warehouse environment.
Proven experience leading a team of 610 people.
Cargo screening experience is essential.
Strong understanding of air freight handling and warehouse processes.
Good knowledge of aviation security and compliance procedures.
Strong leadership and communication skills.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced Heathrow environment.
Organised, hands-on approach with strong attention to detail.
