£32,000 PLUS Shift allowance
Based in Birmingham (B37)
Rotating Shift Days and Nights – Monday to Friday, Sunday to Thursday, etc
We are working with a Freight, Logistics & Transport organisation that are based Birmingham (B37) and they have an opening for a TRANSPORT PLANNER/OPERATOR. This is offering an IMMEDIATE START!
This role will be working in a busy Transport Operations department with a salary of £32,000 PLUS Shift Allowance and this is working, rotating Shift Days and Nights – Monday to Friday, Sunday to Thursday, etc
The daily tasks and duties of the TRANSPORT PLANNER/OPERATOR will include;
- Planning transport movements throughout the UK
- Ensure all transport details are up to date and entered completely onto the system
- Planning collections/deliveries
- Routing vehicles across the UK
- Manifest daily trailers and send pre-advices
- Log and report weekly reports
- Costing transport solutions with 3rd party carriers
- Complete and administer activities in the Road Freight Department.
- Monitor and deal with transport queries by liaising with customers, hauliers and other depots
For this role we require an experienced candidate who has worked in Transport, Distribution, Freight, Logistics etc and has strong administration and organisational skills.
Good UK Geographical knowledge, and transport planning experience & ability to build good customer and staff relationships, and a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
