Description: Trainee Freight clerk required to join this busy team

Full training will be given

Monday to Friday 9am to 5.30pm

Main purpose of the position is to learn all aspects of the Freight operation

Keen interest in working in Freight is required

Exports

To organise all Air shipments from start to completion including arranging quotations, transport, completion of AWBs, customs entries, invoicing and loading costs. Provide support to other areas of the business as and when required. Mostly handling Time Critical Airfreight Exports.

Import Customs Clearances

Liaising with customs officials, overseas offices, agents, and clients.

Ensuring that all relevant documents and procedure necessary for customs clearances is available prior to clearance.

Ensuring trade is accumulated according to customs quotas, trade agreements, tariffs, and regulations.

Negotiating rates with clients.

Arranging deliveries-collection to clients in the UK from airlines.

Negotiating rates with clients.

Providing local charges quotation to local and overseas clients.

Calculating administration, haulage and other service charges and invoicing clients accordingly.

Salary cGBP21.500-GBP25k
