- Description
- We are working with a smaller forwarder who has a great opportunity for an Import Coordinator with Pharma experience.
Responsible for coordinating the flow of goods to the UK & 3rd Countries for International Clients. To ensure that all parties involved in the Import transportation process are kept informed about its status, and they work to resolve any issues that may arise during transit.
Previous start to finish Import experience any export experience advantage, stable work history, potential for development.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES
·Arranging and tracking shipments
·Communicating with clients / agents for shipping details such as pickup times, shipping method, delivery date, and any special requirements. Scheduling shipment dates and times to meet customer needs.
·Preparing and reviewing shipping documents, including AWB, packing lists, and commercial invoices in line with UK Custom clearance protocols
·Coordinating the transportation of goods with our trusted hauliers / own transportation team
·Communicating with Airline, Freight forwarders, customs brokers, and other transportation providers to ensure that shipments are delivered on time and within budget.
·Determine the most efficient transportation routes and methods.
·Monitor shipments for compliance with regulations and international trade laws specifically in relation to pharmaceuticals.
·Maintaining records of all Import transactions, including tracking shipments and preparing reports on shipping costs and delivery times.
·Ensuring compliance with HMRC Import regulations, including obtaining necessary licenses and permits from UK Exporters.
·Keeping up to date with changes in trade laws and regulations.
·Resolving any issues that arise during the UK Import process, such as customs delays or shipment errors.
·Ensuring time critical and temperature-controlled cargo is stored at the correct temperature at both airline and within our own facility.
·Liaising with UK Road Transport Companies for EU Imports.
Experience needed
·Previous Air Import start to finish experience.
·Pharma experience.
·Any Export experience advantage.
·Good customs experience.
·Good communication skills both written and verbal.
·Good Sequoia CDS experience,
·Good Attention to detail.
Monday to Friday 8-5pm or 9-6pm
Salary Depends on experience
5 year checkable work record and Clear DBS.
